Border Highway Connector

The Border Highway Connector is a transformational infrastructure project spearheaded by the New Mexico Border Authority (NMBA) to enhance connectivity between the Santa Teresa Port of Entry and the broader regional and interstate transportation network. Designed to improve the flow of commercial traffic, reduce congestion, and support continued industrial growth in the Santa Teresa BorderPlex, the Connector will serve as a critical link between binational trade routes and key logistics hubs in New Mexico, Texas and Chihuahua. This project reflects NMBA’s commitment to modernizing border infrastructure and strengthening New Mexico’s role as a premier trade gateway between the U.S. and Mexico.
